I run a range of different Soapmaking & natural skincare classes, the most popular being
Traditional Cold Process Soapmaking. Classes are run with up to 5 people, so everyone receives plenty of help and each person gets to design and make their own products, using a range of ingredients.

Beginner's Soapmaking in Trowbridge

Details about each class
Cold Process Soapmaking (beginners) - Learn to make traditional cold process soap from scratch using natural ingredients. There will be detailed information about the soapmaking process, ingredients, equipment and method, followed by a demonstration of the soapmaking process. Each person will then get to make their own 2 different batches of soap to take home (approx 10-12 bars/1.2kg of soap in total) plus a detailed worksheet with recipes to continue making your own soap at home. Recipes are all palm free and suitable for vegans. Over 18s only.
Please bring a packed lunch (except for at Iford Manor where lunch is included), some old towels to wrap your soaps in and a large carrier bag to take them home in can be useful.
Felted Soap - Felted soaps are a soap & wash cloth in one. They help to make the soap last longer, help prevent sogginess in the soapdish and are gently exfoliating. They make unique gifts and the process is fun and relaxing.
Each person will get to have a go at wet felting merino wool onto several handmade soaps in a variety of colourful patterns. Then we will be needlefelting designs onto some pre-felted soaps. You will take home 4-5 soaps at the end of the 3 hour session.
Natural Bath Melts - Learn to make moisturising bath melts using butters, oils, essential oils and floral decorations. Each person will take home a gift box containing approx 6 x beautifully scented bath melts.
Hand & Foot Creams - Learn to make your own hand and foot creams using herbal infusions, infused oils, plant butters and essential oils. Each person will choose their own ingredients to make 2 x 50ml pots of either a hand or foot cream.
